Not only spotting the biased reporting but as well share the info with others. So that a community can get the truth the news articles.

Users of SpinSpotter also get a Trust rating. Accurately mark instances of bias, and users will vote you up and increase your Trust rating. Inaccurately mark statements of fact as media spin, users vote you down and your Trust rating plummets.

SpinSpotter gives much more weight to an experienced and reliable user — a trusted user’s down vote can counteract thousands of up votes from untrusted users.

The site derives its strenght from the advisory board of prominent US journalist who have set objective rules for what constitutes ‘Spin’ uniquely guided from crowd sourcing and algorithm that constantly learn from users as input.

How to use the tool now?

The tool is in Beta version , right now exclusively a Firefox browser 3 but expected with IE browser soon. ’Spinaculars’ installs in seconds (134K). It only takes a minute to register a username for yourself.
